Re: Social work information newsletter

from LyndelAskins on 11/03/2014 06:40 AM

I am having touble accessing this address to look at the newsletter. I think it is my workplace restrictions on looking at certain websites. Usually things with .org have little success. Is there another way to view the newletter to see what I'm missing? Lyndel.

Hi Debbie
I am interested in exploring that.  I have been reading about people on dialysis and trying to work through the CNSW forum that I am a part of which is based in the USA.  You can register for this forum through the www.kidney.org/professionals and they put out a journal for Nephrology Social Work.  There has been some great articles in the last one.
Where I work we do have some people working and doing dialysis successfully.  The challenge in our area is for people to get work.  I have been encouraging people who would like to work to maybe think about starting a small business and directing them to check out the website www.etcltd.com.au.  This is a government incentive encouraging small business and helping people to work towards their goals of starting a business.

KHA have been asked if there is any information for those who are on dialysis and trying to work.

It would be great to get a document together, is anyone interested?

The SJS Weekly  is a newsletter for socialworkers.    The email to subscribe is: [email protected]  It appears to have American authors but some of the articles are quite interesting......

Re: My Kidney My Choice Decision Aid Tool

The decision aid has now been converted to a digital format.  You can find it at http://homedialysis.org.au/choosing/am-i-ready-to-choose/  If you have any feedback that would be great.
